The Aleut were indians who lived in Alaska. They were closely related to the inuit. They are in the Arctic region. The aleut got there name do to the fact that they built there houses/ shelters on the coast of the Aleutian Islands. The Aleutian Islands are a chain of more then 100 islands and starts at what is now Alaska's southernwest tip.
