What are the places to see in Alaska?

The most obvious answer is also the highest point on the North American continent, Mt. McKinley, called Denali or the "Great One" in the language of the Denai'na, the people native to Alaska. It stands 20,335 at its highest point thrusting its white shrouded peak high into the sky. On a clear day, it can easily be seen from Anchorage located about 150 airmiles to the southeast. But what are some other high peaks that are located near Denali? Mount Foraker, to the south and the Moose's Tooth come to mind.

These are a list of my favorite, from south to north, excluding the panhandle. Seward- Kenai Fjords national park Homer-Tons of fishing, quintessential Alaska Portage and Whittier - Glaciers, 2 and a half mile long tunnel that is one lane and shared with road and rail, whittier is the town under one roof. Everybody lives in 2 apartment buildings. Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center - cost is $10 per vehicle and you can see moose, bears, musk oxen, caribou, sitka deer.... basically any mammal's in AK Turnagain Arm- A glacial fjord that has a bore tide, beluga whales Girdwood- Alyeska Ski Resort. Alaska's only really nice ski resort. Great little mountain town. Anchorage- Largest city, Ceremonial start of the Iditarod Wasilla- Official re-start of the Iditarod, headquarters of the Iditarod Talkeetna - Setting for TV show Northern Exposure, jumping off point for climbing Mt. Mckinley, Moose Dropping Festival Mt. Mckinley (Denali) Highest Peak in North America @ 20,320 ft. Denali National Park - 6.2 million acres of real wilderness. Almost all of it untouched by humans. there is one road that goes 90 miles in to the town of Kantishna, an old gold miners town. Bears, Moose, Wolves, Caribou, Dall Sheep, Snowshoe Hare, Golden Eagles, Willow Ptarmigan and many other species. Fairbanks - Golden Heart City. Gold mining town. Pioneer Park Downtown, Riverboat Discovery, Eldorado Gold Mine, Trans-Alaska Pipeline Visitors' Center
