You can do quite a bit in Madrid. They have a world class museum called El Prado which has some really fine art, you can tour Palaces, they have beautiful parks and squares, one of the best soccer teams in the world, great restaurants, great bars where you go with a group of friends from one to another and eat small single bite portions of all kinds of different foods called tapas (going from bar to bar bar like that is called Tapa Hopping), great shopping for clothing, good theaters, just about anything you could ask for.
