I am not sure of what impact we are discussing. Ice growth in that region has been growing for hundreds of years, unlike the Arctic. Glaciers have been moving and breaking off of the area for eons. There is very little man induced impact to that area. What little there is comes from science groups that are trying very hard not to cause more issues. The only nuclear power generator there, as an example, was removed decades ago. Waste is packed out. Very little man induced damage is occurring.
