Northern Ireland has come a long way since the days where we were pictured on the news rioting and killing on another. There has been a power-sharing agreement, which sees the Protestant and Unionist Democratic Union Party (DUP) and the Catholic Republican Sinn Fein working together for the good of the country. Things have got a lot better and Northern Ireland is moving forward in time slowly. Some gaps still need to be bridged but we're getting there. There are more integrated schools which see Protestant and Catholic children going to school together and learning to get along, and as the new generation comes through there are less and less sectarian attacks. However, not all is well. There still remains the threat of the paramilitary organisations, and there have been bouts of attacks and recent rioting, although things are definitely not as bad as they used to be and things are getting better.
