a large part of the governments shape relied on the originality of the founder, wether they were under swedish rule, british rule, and so forth as most explorers were bound to the rules of their motherland to an extent, later causing the civil war. the separate leaders from their mioherland country were usually chosen by the founder, creating a dicatership with less of an anarchy, many of the colonies main objective. the majority of the colonies had a governor.
