There are quite a few varieties of red and white grapes that make Italian wines. Some red grapes include Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto. Some white grapes include Cortese, Grechetto, Vernaccia.
Ballatore is a spumante, which is a sparkling wine. Did you know: Champagne is also a sparkling wine. However, only sparkling wines made in the region of Champagne, France are allowed to be called champagne. Otherwise they have to call themselves sparkling wine (Italians call it spumante).
Italians are not known as being religious. They are known for the pride they have in their culture aka "cultured". Religion is secondary to them, and most are Catholics if they haven't converted to another religion.
