Some of the activities done by the pilgrims at Hajj are:
1. They circle round the Ka'abah (Tawaaf).
2. They walk/run between Safa and Marwa (two hills- Saiee).
3. The stay for four nights in Mina.
4. They stay in the Field of Arafat on the 9th of Zil Hajjah. (Waqoof)

Jerusalem is important to Jews because of the great temple that was built in Jerusalem. The "holy city" of Islam is Mecca, where the Islamic people do their "pilgrimage".
The holy ka'abah is situated at Mecca (Makka). The Muslims face it while offering prayer. They visit this holy city to perform Umrah and Hajj (pilgrimage).
Muslims are required to visit the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia at least once in their lifetime as part of the annual pilgrimage known as Hajj. This pilgrimage is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is a mandatory religious duty for all able-bodied adult Muslims who can afford it.
