The colors on the Swedish flag mean: Yellow - Generosity Blue - Vigilance, Truth, Loyalty, Perseverance and Justice AnswerThe Colours are believed to be derived from the Coat of Arms of Sweden, the flag modelled on the Danish flag which Sweden gained independence from. The Coat of arms came into being in the 15th century under King Charles Knutsson. According to myth Eric IX (the Saint/Holy/Lawgiver) saw a yellow cross in the sky as he landed in Finland for the Swedish crusade. He adopted the cross against a blue background as his banner. The story is earlier than the Coat of Arms theory. Note:- Giving meaning to colours is a relatively modern phenomena (historically speaking) usually ascribed to ex colonial countries using their flag as a rallying call and generally wouldn't be used before the 19th century. Most modern applications of peace justice etc to older flags doesn't stand up to any investigation. The earlier answer that the colours of Sweden's flag represent Sun and Sand is sweet but naive and er... wrong.
