The word for grandfather in Scotish is Granda, The Granda, or Grandpapa (occasionally). In my family, my father was called The Daddy, The Dad, Daddy, or Dad, and my grandfather was called The Faither (father) by my parents and Granda by the grandchildren. Very young children call their father Dada. Grandmothers are often called Gran, but usually Granny, and mothers are called Mum, Maw, or Mither (mother).
