What does the Church teach about Euthanasia?

It"s a non-issue like colors of paint on the wall. Animals are not subject to human concepts of (rights) or justice. there is no objection to putting animals down, or euthanized. there is no objection to humane animal experimentation given proper safeguards. such extreme examples of Animal rights as, for example pet cemeteries are probably condemned by the Hierarchy as animals dont have human type souls.One shouldnot abuse animals,but euthanasia, etc is not singularily sinful.

This will depend upon which Church you are specifically asking about. In general, the Roman Catholic Church and other orthodox/fundamental Churches teach that deliberate euthanasia of a human being is profoundly immoral and a grave or mortal sin. Some progressive Churches may teach that voluntary self-euthanasia, such as physician assisted suicide, is morally neutral and would need to be judged based upon the individual circumstances of each case.

However, I don't believe there is any Church that teachs involuntary euthanasia (such as what Hitler's Nazi party orchestrated in the Holocaust) is anything but profoundly immoral and unacceptable. The grey area is for self-selected voluntary euthanasia in response to severe pain in the face of terminal illness.
