That saggiN (read it backwards) a sod.
The sod house was warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The workers will be here in the morning to sod the yard. (slang) He was a cantankerous old sod and seldom had a good word for anyone.

A sod.
The word "sod" is not vulgar if you're talking about the surface of the ground, it is vulgar when you refer it to an unpleasant or obnoxious person.
Sod is the grass that is grown and then you roll it out like a carpet. They call the places where they grow sod sod farms.
The word "soldering" is pronounced as "SAW-der-ing."
I'm not really sure anyone has a favorite sod... He'd probably like healthy, lush sod, I guess. But did you perhaps mean soda? If so, see related questions below ;)
