means that it is a male
A male parakeet has a blue nose above its beak.
The kinda beak that a blue parkett dose not has :-)))
If a parakeet's beak is blue, it's a boy. If it's red/pinkish, It's a girl!
The spot at the top of the beak called the cere is blue on the males.
usually a male parakeet has a gray beak and a female has a blue or orange, which really doesnt matter because the orange can be for both but usually a female
Presuming that 'parakeet' means budgie, even though there is actually no species known as a parakeet, the cere, which is the part above a budgies's beak where their nostrils are, is bright blue on a mature male budgie.
On the parakeet is a colored patch above the beak (cere); in males light to dark blue and female pinkish to tan, or brown if breeding; immature of both sexes are pinkish to pinkish blue.
The male (Boy) parakeets have a BLUE nose/cere (right above the beak) and females have a PINK or BROWN nose/cere, and babies are white, purple or in between so you will not be a ble to tell until they are older. you can google it just tipe in "Pictures of male parakeet" and when that comes up google "female parakeet pictures" and you should see what they look like
A blue parakeet, commonly known as a budgerigar or budgie, typically measures about 7 to 8 inches in length from the beak to the tip of the tail. They usually weigh between 1.1 to 1.4 ounces. Their vibrant blue plumage can vary in shade and intensity, depending on the individual bird's genetics. Overall, they are small, lively birds often kept as pets.
This cannot be answered simply, because there is actually no specific breed of bird called a "parakeet". The term "parakeet" is a generalised term to cover numerous species of smaller, long-tailed parrots, specifically budgies, lorikeets or cockatiels. If you are really talking about budgies, which is the bird most commonly referred to in the States as a "parakeet", then a mature male tends to have a deep blue cere, which is the waxy bit above the beak where the bird's nostrils are. Males only develop this blue as they mature towards repreoductive age. Females have a white cere but, when they are in breeding season, it deepens in colour to brown.
the way to tell if a parakeet is a male or femaleis by looking at their noise, the males noise is blue and the femals is are pinkish, white or peach
I would say that if the ceres are blue, it is a male. Does it still have stripes on it's head?
