-Frontalism is Egyptian wall art. Frontalism is showing the profile of the face (save the eyes), but a forward view of the body. This is probably because the Egyptians wanted to show the very best of people or animals in their art, and the profile is more appealing than seeing the face head on. Same with the body which you see face toward you instead of from the side. On the subject of the eyes... The eyes are shown as if you were looking into them from the front not the side because the Egyptians put more value into eyes than anything else. For proof, they decided that Horus (and several others) had one eye of the sun, and the other of the moon. Eyes are important to them.
