Some years back a comedian used this phrase to define the word "nothing": "'Nothing' is an air-filled balloon with the skin peeled off". Consider this statement: "Nothing is impossible". One way to read this is to say that everything is possible. You cannot prove a negative. Another way is to say that it is impossible for there to be nothing. Since we are aware of the potential energy of a vacuum, if there were "nothing", there would be an infinite vacuum. that infinite vacuum would have infinite potential energy. If energy and matter are interchangable. then there must be infinite potential for matter. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE! But I cannot prove it.
