the cheapest time of the year is usually the time when not everyone is trying to go, so that might be winter, depending on the area of which u live. Another good time to go is after something big happened, like after 9/11, airline tickets were easy to get, and for a good price! "off season", meaning the time of year that nobody else wants to go.

Costa Rica is a year round destination for tourist but you can get the cheapest rates when it is the low season. The low season months are May, June, September and November. These are considered to be the wet season but are very lush and a beautiful time of year to go.

On your way to Las Vegas, there are fast food restraunts where you can get coupons on places in Vegas and to shows, but I only think those magazines give information and coupons to place in Vegas, not for the hotels. But at Vegas.com or Travelocity.com you can get coupons for Las Vegas hotels. But if you're looking for cheap hotels, you can just go on Vegas.com to see which hotels (usually the 3.5 star hotles) are the cheapest.
