Michal Negrin jewelry isn't too expensive but is considered very nice jewelry and authentic to Israel. Also, their chocolate is amazing (Israel is known for her dairy products). If your friends are Jewish, every little shop sells red bracelets with a Jewish star or hamsa charm for about a dollar. Also, everyone loves a good Coca-Cola shirt written in Hebrew or an army (Tzahal) tshirt (which are also usually only 10 bucks). There's a ton of pretty Judaica (candlesticks, hanging hamsas, etc.) on Ben Yahuda street along with handmade kippot.
