A parapsychologist is a person who investigates and researches the paranormal. The paranormal simply means those things which lie just beyond what the general public considers to be "normal". Some of the things that I do is to investigate alleged hauntings, counsel people who are psychically gifted and rejected by the general population and research methods of communicating with those on the other side of the veil. I differ from regular parapsychologists in as much as I am a metaphysical parapsychologist. This means that I walk in both this world and the spirit world and work to bridge the gap between them.

What do you call a person who studies vampires and werewolves?
The majority of the time, a person studying these fields is known as a Parapsychologist, although I tend to disagree with this title if the person is a believer in such supernatural beings. Generally a person who studies vampires, or vampirology, is known as a vampirologist. The same goes for the study of werewolves, yet I'm thinking there would be something else out there associated with the latin roots for the word 'werewolves.'
