The climate in Tennessee is sometimes nice and stormy and sometimes not nice.
Tennessee for the most part is hot and humid for about 9 months of the year, it can be cooler and slightly drier in the mountains. In the middle of winter it can drop into the 50's and 60's, the fall and spring are just like anywhere else and the summers last from April to about the end of September which can have temperatures in the 80's and 90's.
It is a humid subtropical climate except in the higher elevations which are classified as a maritime temperate climate.
West, central, and southeast tn have humid subtropical. Northeastern and mountainous parts have humid continental.
