The main highway between Las Vegas and Phoenix is Interstate 11 (I-11), which connects to Interstate 10 (I-10) in Arizona. The route is mostly highway all the way, with a mix of Interstate and state highways. Travelers do cross the Black Mountains and the Hualapai Mountains, which can involve some elevation changes, but the road is well-maintained and suitable for all vehicles. Overall, it's a scenic drive through the desert and mountainous terrain.

There are many but Phoenix AZ, and Las Vegas NV would be two of the biggest
I have a 1998 Chevy Metro and I live in Phoenix Arizona and I get 44 miles to the gallon when I run my a/c in the summer, and 62 miles to the gallon in the winter. Both figures are in town driving. Highway milage is much higher about 80 miles to the gallon. I left Phoenix and drove to Vegas and used 5 gallons of gas and that was climbing mountains between here and there. I love my car. It is a 5 speed, 3 cylinder, hatchback. Wouldn't trade it for the world.
For many people, Las Vegas, Nevada is always worth a visit.
It is only a 5 hour drive, but Kingman is a possibility.
