For the next two thousand years, this land was under Roman and then Arab control. Then in the late 1800s a movement called Zionism took place. Randomly, through God's mighty hand, Jews began returning to Israel, after almost 2000 years!! Israel won its independence in 1948. but it wasn't easy from then on. The 6 day war was miraculous, and only through the power of God did Israel survive the Yom Kippur War!!
