The current head of government is Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Minister of General Affairs. His Vice Prime Minister is Lodewijk Asscher (Minister of Social Affairs and Employment). The current government consists out of the Liberal Party (VVD) and the Social-Democratic Party (PvdA). This parties won the parliamentary elections in September, 2012.
