Food in Spain is regional, that is, they eat different things in each region. That makes it difficult to claim that one dish, or food, is more popular that any other with one exception.

You can't find one region that doesn't eat bread. I don't mean sandwich bread like we eat so much of in the states. That kind of bread is universally referred to as Pan Bimbo after one of the first large efforts to sell that type of bread in Spain.

Every neighborhood has at least one bakery. Bread is baked fresh daily and, in some cases, delivered to your house. It comes in many sizes, shapes, styles and consistencies and is eaten daily by almost every Spaniard.

GOOD STUFF!
