A kakemono is a hanging Japanese scroll. The art work is usually on rice paper and mounted on silk brocade with a rod, often made of ceramic or wood, on the bottom.
Hold the paper vertically, like you would be reading it. Locate the horizontal black roller behind the keys and insert the bottom edge of the paper behind the roller and then turn the knob on the end of the roller clockwise. This should draw the paper around the roller. Continue to turn the knob until the paper sticks up on the near side of the roller.
