There are mountain ranges: The Himalayas, The Satpura, The Aravali and The Western and Eastern ghats.
The Aravalli range is probably the oldest in India. It is so old in fact, that the current Aravalli range is regarded as the eroded stub of the original range: that is, the Aravllis were once even higher than they are now. The major ranges in India are the Himalayas, the Eastern and Western Ghats, the Aravalli, Vindhya, and Satpura.
