The only vegetation in Antarctica is grown from seeds and soil brought especially for the purpose. A greenhouse or similar structure is needed. When I was a Pole Station in 1963, We made an indoor enclosure of plexiglass about 2 ft wide, 4 ft long and 4 ft high. Set up light bulbs on a time switch. We grew a few vegetables, but not much.
