I just got out on a two year sentence. And I did the max time which is exactly 11 months. If you are in there long enough to get your time status change it goes down to 10 months & 16 days.

How much time is served on 15 year sentence in TX if good behavior?

In Texas, inmates can earn time off their sentence for good behavior through a system known as "good time" credit. Typically, inmates can earn up to one day of credit for every day served, potentially reducing a 15-year sentence to as little as 7.5 years if they maintain good behavior. However, eligibility for parole and other factors can also influence the actual time served. It's important to note that specific circumstances and changes in laws may affect this outcome.

In Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), a 20-year plea bargain typically means that the defendant will serve a portion of that time, which can vary based on factors such as good behavior and eligibility for parole. How much time do you do in Texas if you get a 3 year sentence on a 2nd degree felony?

3 years is the maximum. Generally, parole eligibility is when the time served plus good time credit equals 1/4 of the sentence, however there is no guarantee parole would be granted, and if there are aggravating factors (priors or if it's a 3g offense), parole law may be different. Also, mandatory supervision is available as long as it is not a 3g offense once the calendar time served plus good time equals three years.
