They are virtually the same as the rest of the UK. Some small differences, mostly to do with property.

Until the recent Scottish Parliament, Scottish laws were passed by the UK parliament in London and were normally (but not always) the same as for England and Wales.

The Scottish legal system and education system are different as a legacy from before the Union with England.
