I don't have a complete answer .But i recall my parents mention Sullivans Hotel on 116th st (possibly not there that far back) Curley's Hotel is another one I recall hearing about. However,if it means enough to you,I would suggest calling the Rockaway Wave local newspaper,I believe they either have extensive historical archives or at least have access to them.
