What plain is Dublin Ireland in?

Dublin is not in a plain. It is a coastal city, built around Dublin Bay and the mouth of the river Liffey on its eastern side. The smaller river Tolka also flows into Dublin Bay, north of where the river Liffey enters it. The Tolka flows through the city, as does a major tributary of the Liffey known as the Dodder. There are also many smaller tributaries of the Liffey, some of which are now underground within the city. To the south are the Dublin and Wicklow mountains. To the western part of the city the Liffey flows through the Liffey valley.
