There is a famous apocryphal story that George Washington cut down his father's prize cherry tree with his new axe and said when questioned ,confessed with the words, "I can not tell a lie.". Lincoln was known as "Honest Abe".
because she does not wish to ruin her husbands name, she did not know prior to coming in the court that john had said she does not tell a lie. so she lied in his name.. it could also be because if she said yes they could have tried him so really she was confused and did not know what consequences would be taken if she said he did committ lechery...
The biggest lie most guys tell is they aren't cheating on their girlfriends/wifes when they really could be.

You DON'T need to lie often. But you can LIE AND tell the TRUTH at the same time. MY method is to tell my self in OTHER circumstances that it is the truth and it works. Tell the person your "LIE" and it might even work.
