William Bradford
Thomas Hooker founded Hartford. He was a Puritan of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, but started to disagree with some of the Puritans in Massachusetts. He decided to go start a new colony, Connecticut.
When the Puritan built the colony in Massachusetts named it the Massachusetts Bay Colony .Many people from England came to Massachusetts Bay Colony so the can get away from the Church of England .They wanted religious freedom .But when they found out they had the same problem again ,they told the Puritans.Williams was one of them believed that the government should not punish people for ones beliefs .The Puritans was so angry , they kicked him out .In 1636, he found Rhode Island , and so on .

John Wheelwright did not found a Colony on his own. He was a religious leader in the Massachusetts Bay Colony for a while, but was banished from there. He and his wife, who was the main reason for the banishment, founded the town of Exeter, New Hampshire.
John Winthrop was a founder of the "Massachusetts Bay" colony, and his son, John, helped found Connecticut.
