The main thing Oak Ridge did was uranium enrichment. But they also built and operated the X-10 reactor a prototype for the plutonium production reactors later built at Hanford.
because They felt doin what they do
After the atomic bombs Japan had no other choice.
It is the other way around, the use of the atomic bomb played a role in the weapons race.
Albert Einstein did not make the atomic bomb. Einstein himself did not even play a role in the development of the atomic bomb other than signing the letter to get Roosevelt to approve the making of it. He did help the United States Navy with some unrelated theoretical questions it was working on during the war. And girls wouldn't be smart enough. JK. But not really. Ok really.
none
None whatsoever, the Manhattan Project was a closely guarded secret.
Relativity and the Atomic bomb
An atomic bomb is a type of nuclear weapon, which includes both fission and fusion bombs. A nuke is a colloquial term for a nuclear weapon, which can refer to either an atomic bomb or a hydrogen bomb. Hydrogen bombs are generally more powerful than traditional atomic bombs.
No atomic bombs were used in the Korean War and there were never any plans to use them. Possibly the existence of atomic weapons had some small effect.
Oak Ridge was responsible for Uranium enrichment (oralloy) and small scale Plutonium production reactor (X-10) prototype development. Hanford was responsible for operation of Plutonium production reactors (B-reactor, etc.) and fuel pellet reprocessing to extract Plutonium.
No he did not create the atomic bomb nor was he involved with the Manhattan Project. He did play a role though by sending a letter to convince president Roosevelt to start work on a nuclear weapon, and many of his theories went into the making of it. Einstein himself was a pacifist and regretted for the rest of his life that he had influenced the creation of nuclear weapons.
