Samurai
samurais were when japan was in the feudal system- they were hired by their lords to protect them from attackrs, and they would be given land in exchange
The feudal system was based on reciprocity: the lord (often the king) was loyal to his warriors, rewarding them in the right measure with lands and goods for their services and ensuring that they would continue to serve him in war and peace; the warriors (the knights) had the sacred duty to serve only their king, hold and govern the lands he had given them as a fief and fight for him if he called them to war. A good feudal lord - if he was the king - made sure that his rewards for loyalty and bravery were seen by the recipient and others as just and open-handed; a good feudal lord - if he was the king's subject - made sure his loyalty was seen as rock-solid, paying homage to the king at the appropriate moments, and that he was seen by the king as a good administrator of his fief.
The feudal system was meant to help organize things for people.( To help people) how it worked: what happened was that the king was at the top and then the nobles were given land that was split up so they couldn't start a rebellion and the nobles gave their land to lots of knights which gave there land to lots of peasants which farmed the land and paid taxes. the knights fought and the king gave the noble more land so that he was richer more land=richer you are! this kind of system was based on kept promises. if some promises were not kept the entire system fails. Therefore I think that the Feudal System isn't fair especially for the peasants.
Peaces of land were given to the knights like if it was a payment
Knights were armored warriors in the Middle Ages who served as soldiers in the service of a lord or monarch. They were trained in combat and often sworn to uphold the code of chivalry, which emphasized virtues like honor, courage, and loyalty. Knights were an important part of feudal society and played a key role in battles, tournaments, and the protection of their lord's lands.
A knight was part of the nobility and given the land by the king for service to the crown. It was part of the feudal system that there were those who worked and the small groups of people who benefited from the work of others.
The feudal system is a political system that was prevalent in Europe in between the eighth and fourteenth centuries. Most of the agricultural society was largely supported by the feudal system social hierarchy. In the feudal system, most of the rights and privileges were given to the Upper classes. In this hierarchical structure, the kings occupied the topmost position, followed by barons, bishops, knights and villains or peasants.

In return for their service and loyalty, knights were typically granted land or fiefs, which provided them with income and resources to support their household and retainers. They also received protection, status, and the ability to participate in the feudal system, which could lead to further opportunities for wealth and power. Additionally, knights were often bestowed with titles and honors, reinforcing their social standing within the nobility.
Knights were a central part of European feudalism during the middle ages. They were often land owning vassals (class who were given grants of land by the Lord in extange for military protection and the overseeing of farmland ran by peasants), as they were the only ones with enough wealth to purchase the armour, sword, shield and horse required. They provided protecion for the Lord who had several other vassals. The various lords were then loyal to a king although the lords had the true power. The key thing to remember is that knights were part of a military-land power relationship in medeival Europe. (this same structure can be found in feudal japan if you feel the urge to look further)
Knighthoods originated in the early Middle Ages, around the 9th century, as a form of military honor in feudal Europe. Initially, knights were mounted warriors who served a lord in exchange for land or protection, and the title was often conferred through ceremonies that included the act of dubbing, where a squire was formally made a knight. Over time, knighthoods evolved to include various orders and honors, becoming a symbol of chivalry and service.
the feudal system was sustained by the rights and privileges given to the upper classes and in most cases enacted by laws
