Trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), which is the primary stock exchange for Canadian equities, opens at 9:30 AM Eastern Time (ET). Since Vancouver is in the Pacific Time Zone (PT), this means trading opens at 6:30 AM PT. However, for U.S. markets like the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and NASDAQ, trading also begins at 6:30 AM PT.
The term real time trading refers to trading in the stock market that is happening live. Real time trading happens when the stock market is open until it's closing time of 7pm eastern.
