It is a living museum with absolutely no roads and all houses, industry, shops, hotels built alongside the water and the cities thousands of canals. A city where people travel by waterbus, police travel by boats, the fire fighters travel in boats and people are given their funerals on a funeral boat. A city with lots of museums showcasing art, ancient palaces and windy, tranquil streets. There are so many museums and churches to see but every time I've been it has been more than enough to simply walk and walk around the maze of streets and canals.
