Hugh Lofting lived in Killingworth, CT. He lived in a house that looked onto the Evergreen Cemetery on Green Hill Road. For awhile, his second wife, Kate Harrower, had a house next to his. When they married, she moved in with him. She died a very short time later and he buried her in Evergreen cemetery, so he could "see" her there. She is buried in a raised grave, the only one like it in the cemetery. And later he was buried next to her.
