What type of clothing do people in Guatemala's wear?

i had researched on Guatemala for a school project.

i had come to find that Guatemala is stuck in the past.

they wear U.S.A's oldest fashions.

do you know why? because its hard to try getting those clothes delivered to Guatemala don't blame us...other thing some of the people that live in towns and other rural communities use this kind of clothing for womans (a long colorfull dress with all kinds of accesories its called a"CORTE" for men (they wear most of their clothing white) but they don't dress like that that much because their children are staring to dress in Holister and A.E that's only the people from rurla areas.

in the town were i come from we dress normally with all that American clothes style

Traditionally, Guatemalan women wear long hand woven skirts and colorful shirts as a traditional dress. Guatemalan men wear brightly colored woven pants and a piece of cloth wrapped around their waist like a mini skirt. They also wear colorful button up shirts that are hand woven.

If you're looking at the indigenous tribes of South America then the women wear grass skirts and sometimes a necklaces shirt. In tribes that are close to civilization the men wear pants or undies, but in less civilised tribes the men wear a string around their hip to tie their foreskin with so that they will not be hindered when they run or hunt.

Men: wear a traditional type of pants and shirt (clothing my vary in different locations of Guatemala. i don't know the exact name of the outfit)
