What was the fate of Hyacinth?

Hyacinth chose Apollo over the wind god Zephyrus. While trowing a discus with Apollo, Zephyrus blew on it while it was flying back to Hyacinth. The discus struck Hyacinth and he died. Apollo out of love did not let Hades take his body but instead turned him into a flower.
