I am a resident of New York and I am wondering if there is a specific website which offers inmate lookup for the state of New York?
Check the Department of Corrections website for the state they are in and do an inmate lookup. If they are a federal prison check the federal website.
It depends on what state the inmate is in. Each state has it's own site, but I would recommend theinmatelocator.com. All the states that currently allow inmate look up are linked to this site. They state they cannot guarantee accuracy though.
To find out if an inmate was granted parole in New York State, you can visit the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) website, which has an online inmate lookup tool. You can search by the inmate's name or ID number to access their parole status. Additionally, you may contact the parole board directly or check court records for updates on their parole hearings and decisions.
You can use the InmatePlus service to find an inmate in a state or county jail. Alternately, the Federal Bureau of Prisions also has a lookup feature that allows you to look up an inmate by name or number.
To search for an inmate by name and date of birth, you can start by visiting the official website of the relevant correctional facility or state department of corrections. Many jurisdictions offer online inmate lookup tools where you can enter the individual's name and date of birth. Alternatively, you can contact the facility directly or check local law enforcement websites for inmate search resources. Always ensure that you have accurate information for the best results.
Go to the VINE website, pick your state, enter the inmate's name.
Each state has slight variations on this, however most have online access to inmate information. Go to your state's Department of Corrections web site and search for "Inmate Information" or "Offender Information." You may also search for Inmate of Offender searches. These can sometimes be difficult to locate, but keep at it. Some states such as California do not allow online searches for inmates and require you to call the Inmate Information Office of the state DOC. You might want to begin with the website the Prison Legal News or VINELink websites for inmate locator links. Both are linked below.
Visit the department of corrections website for the state or county your in. If you have all that person's information you can find the location and mailing address of the inmate.
You would need to contact the specific website or read their FAQ.
The State Bureau of Prisons should have a locater service. Call their number (located in the governemnt listings in the phone book), and with the name of the inmate, they should be able to tell you where he is housed. This will only work if the inmate has been remanded to THEIR custody. They will not be able to help you if the inmate is jailed in a local facility on a local charge. ________________________________________________________________________ The State of NY has an online "Inmate Look-Up Service". See the link below entitled "NY Inmate Lookup"
If it is a County Jail, check for an on line inmate locator or call the jail and ask. If it is a state or federal prison - most states and the feds have on-line inmate locator services. Check the website applicable to your state. Some states like California require you to call. See the related link below for links to most county and state correctional facilities.
The widest ranging inmate look-up website for American prisons is http://www.theinmatelocator.com/, which covers every state. The department of corrections, and sometimes individual prisons also have websites with inmate look-up tools on them.
