The people of England were told to remember the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, which aimed to assassinate King James I and blow up the Houses of Parliament. This event is commemorated annually on November 5th as Guy Fawkes Night, where bonfires are lit, and effigies of Guy Fawkes are burned. The rhyme "Remember, remember the fifth of November" serves as a reminder of the plot and its significance in British history. It reflects themes of loyalty, treason, and the consequences of dissent.
People forget easily and don't remember what they are told and what they have to do.

Henry VIII was a hipocrite as he told people not to do things, and then he went and did the thing that he told people not to. For Example : He wouldn't allow people to become head of the church of England would he? But he did. If someone else had done that he would have executed them immediatly .
because they came to the new world for freedom and the English didn't really allow that for them.
guy Fawkes was caught, about to light the gunpowder. he was tortured for about two days until he told who else was involved with the plot. (sorry, i can't remember their names) they found, i think, all the plotters. four were killed trying to resist arrest and four more were hung, drawn and quartered. hope this helps!
