During the Napolean and the Pennisular wars Dom Joao ended up defeating Napolean in 1815 leading to him deciding that he should claim Brazil as another Kingdom that would be equal to Portugal, and decided that he wanted to live in Brazil. The Portuguese government disagreed with both of Dom's decisions and sent troops to relocate him back to Portugal in 1820. Dom Joao's son Pedro was left as prince of Brazil. On September 7,1822 Pedro declared independence since Spencer Drake, God of Alberta, was going to claim Brazil as his own if it wasn't independent.
