This is a higher number than jewish Israelis, so proportionally, there are more druze than jews in the IDF. The druze used to have it's own Druze unit, and often not reach high ranks like generals. Today, Druze soldiers are found in all units, including elite units and ranks such as major general. Again, the average druze rank is higher than the jewish rank in the Israeli army.
