When you pass a red seal exam in Alberta how long before you receive your certificate?

Alberta Apprenticeship & Industry Training (A&IT) is responsible for issuing the certificates following the successful challenge of the Red Seal examination. In ideal circumstances, your certificate and letter of achievement is sent within 2-3 weeks. During 2008-09 however, the department upgraded their computer system which created delays in booking exams, and results. A 6-8 week delay is possible until the system sorts itself out, and catches up backlogs. If the information is urgently required by employers, or needed to update a visa for example, notify the A&IT folks in Edmonton. They are human, and will do their best to assist you.
