I have seen the white deer many times in Northern CA near the edge of Ridgewood Ranch north of Ukiah, South of Willits. 20 years ago I took a video of 2 males during rutting season "fighting" over a female who stood by and watched them bang their racks. the deer are smaller than an other species and are not from what I know albinos. The herd approximately 16-24 is usually seen resting and can be mistaken for goats or sheep due to their size.
it is 282.92 miles from willits California to Reno Nevada about a travel time of 4hours and 54 minutes
In California, you can find various species of deer, including mule deer, black-tailed deer, and white-tailed deer. Mule deer are the most common type of deer in the state, especially in the western region, while black-tailed deer are found primarily along the coast and in the northern part of California. White-tailed deer are less common but can be found in some parts of the state.
