Expats live in several different areas, but are concentrated on the north side of Hong Kong Island in what's known as the "Mid-Levels" just up the hill from the Central Business District as well as Repulse Bay which is much more "rural" on the south side of the island.

In Kowloon, on the other side of the bay, most of the expat community is centered around the area by the Star Ferry near Tsim Sha Tsui, the first subway stop before going to Hong Kong Island on the Red line.
