Where is a good place to go in Ireland at Christmas time?

Most people like to stay at home. There are parties to go out to. There are pantomimes on. There are usually some special shows or exhibitions on, different ones each year. There have been ice skating rinks opened some years for example. Over the course of Christmas there are some horse racing meetings, like in Limerick or Leopardstown. The big cities have lights and decorations, with some shops having well decorated windows. Some houses also get decorated with lights outside and can be good to see. There is always lots happening around Christmas in Ireland.
