you remove it by taking the whole panel off - it is a moulded piece which is integrated into the door panel. there are small plastic screws - 2 located on the side of the panel and two located on the opposite side of the panel - just undo and carefully take the panel off. There is also a screw by the buttons for the electric windows. Hope this helps
