The lock relay on a Chevrolet Malibu is typically located in the fuse box. For most models, the fuse box is situated under the dashboard on the driver's side, or it may be found in the engine compartment. You can refer to the vehicle's owner manual for the exact location and identification of the lock relay. If you're having trouble, it's also a good idea to consult a professional mechanic.
no fuses, just get in the car. turn the key to acc. push the lock/unlock button the the key remote once. that should do it.
1997 chev Malibu doesn't start but then if relay is wiggled by engine under hood car starts can this be fixed
That would be a relay, not a fuse.
the car has several relays in the fuse box under the hood
remove door panel to check it!!
The MSRP of a 2011 Chevy Malibu is around $22,000. The price will vary, however, especially when considering additional features or buying an used car.
check all the relay switches that's what was causing my problems
On the relay cover, there will be a diagram which explains the positioning of the relays. If you're unable to find it, you may be looking at the wrong relay panel. The one you're looking for is probably under the hood. It may also be just a fuse, as well... I'm pretty sure it was when I had to pull it to shut off a Cobalt after a failed lock bar mechanism in the ignition left me unable to shut off the car.
It is impossible for a fuel injected car to vapor lock. If you have a check engine light on then you need to address that problem first.
I've heard that if you lock and unlock your door with your key, the car will start. Hope this helps!
What do you mean? When does this happen. I have a Malibu '02 and the horn will blow if one of my electric lock buttons are stuck up or down. This will cause it to honk if I put the car in park.
