Your own home, usually! Unless it's a traditional family-oriented holiday. That changes EVERYthing. If a tragedy occurs at a certain destination, it becomes unpopular. Take Pompeii for example. Close by is some of the most fertile ground found on earth, yeilding THREE grain crops per year & providing excellent forage for the sheep. Olive groves abound. Tourism must have been FANTASTIC. Then they had a little volcanic activity and WHAM! -Nobody wanted to go there. Vesuvius quieted down, though, and now there is a bustling tourist trade again. And volcanoes CANNOT be predicted. Yet.
